I've got a shiny new gizmo. Dunno how or why, but the screen is utterly screwed. There's a funny looking mark that looks like someone with far too much Flaming Ho lipstick has given it a kiss and it doesn't update unless I press the screen/case at various points. Gizmo2 is exactly the same model, but it's brand new so the scrolly wheel and escape button are stiff and unused.

Last night we ended up watching Desperado. Mucho gun fights and Selma Hayek :)

I failed utterly to slap the network card into working - the floppy drive appears to be dead. I guess a new card or floppy drive is in order. You interregnum vultures need not worry though - he can still send out emails just fine.
