Or not. I'm on 1.5. But...the doctor says I can go home anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Time to phone parent-taxi for a lift and to let her know the good news :D

Now I have 6 months of pills, blood tests and I can never fly long haul again (cos I'll need an injection if I do)

That's a relief!
But a bummer on the long haul flight bit...

It's only cos I'm a wuss. I think (atm) that I'd rather stay home than have an injection. Especially if I've got numerous bloodtests to look forward to.

I'm sure if there is an opportunity somewhere you don't want to miss, a little prick won't be so bad. ;o)

Yes. Assuming nothing else goes wrong...

They've given me a list of foods I have to cut down on. They are all fruit & veg though. I managed not to laugh at the idea of me cutting down on eating veg :)

Glad you're allowed out. So which fruit and veg have you been eating that you can't anymore ;-) I always remember you leaving the salad and stuff anyway!

I'll let Nick know. He's on a course in London this week, so may not catch up with stuff.

Don't have the leaflet to hand, but it's stuff like cabbage, rocket and brussel sprouts. Looks to be the same family of stuff? I'm limited to 3 "servings" a week as it affects my wolverine medicine.

And I think I already mentioned cranberries as being a big no-no?

Warfarin / Food interactions

I googled and found that is it Vitimin K that is the issue: "Vitamin K decreases the effects of Warfarin. Large amounts of vitamin K are found in foods such as liver, broccoli, brussels sprouts, and green leafy vegetables (e.g., spinach, Swiss chard, coriander, collards, cabbage). Do not change the amount of these foods in your diet without first talking to your doctor."

Don't know how useful the info is however - I would hope that the doctor has given you a Patient Information Leaflet?? may need to check it carefully as I think Asprin is also contraindicated.

O....K. Which fruit and veg and, more importantly, why?
Sugary and lardy foods are bad for your blood but organics? Hmmm

Sure. I have a hospital appointment, but I doubt it's so late as to cause any problems. Let me know more details when you know them.
