I think my Scottish Power woes are nearly at an end. It seems that finally they've decided that the current correct reading is in fact correct, but can't accept it because some how the starting reading they have is higher o_O. Apparently it was estimated when I switched over the first time. I guess they've always been incapable of taking meter readings.

But on the plus side, the nice, friendly person on the phone is going to call me back when I'm at home and have checked the meter (again) just to confirm it really is the number everyone else agrees it is. And then I get a big shiny refund and give it all to Amazon. Or maybe not all...but a good sized chunk.
